All of my patterns begin as sketches on a page. I love photography so I often use my own pictures of flowers, buildings, objects, etc. that I have taken as a source of inspiration. From there, I begin hand-drawing a number of different motifs and elements, often experimenting with different media at this stage such as pencil, ink, and watercolour. I then choose just a few with which to formulate a pattern. I scan and draw over my sketches in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, where I play with colour, texture and balance, slowly building and tweaking my design until a pattern is born.
Licensing and Commissions
My pattern collections are ideal for creating a harmonious range of products, and can be paired together as complimentary designs that also work well as stand-alone prints. Pattern collections are ideal for the production of fabric, stationery, and homeware collections.
Alternatively, I accept commissions to design individual patterns to suit a specific brief. I also have a selection of beautiful stand-alone patterns to pick and choose from for individual pieces.
I would be very happy to discuss my unique designs and service with businesses. Please contact me using the form below.
